Kurankye Sekyi-Otu, CFA

Head of Sales and Marketing

Kurankye graduated from York University in 1994 with a Bachelor of Arts (Hons.) in Economics and earned his CFA designation in 2000. From 1997 to 2001, Kurankye was Director, Debt Capital Markets at CIBC World Markets where he was responsible for marketing fixed-income securities as well as equity and interest rate structured products through CIBC Wood Gundy investment advisors. From 2001 to 2003, he was Regional Vice-President, Sales for Mackenzie Financial. Kurankye was responsible for sales & marketing for frontierAlt Capital Corporation from the firm's inception in 2003 through 2008. At frontierAlt, he established and was responsible for the development, sales and marketing for the firm's investment funds. In 2009 Kurankye formed Soho Financial Services Inc., a consulting company servicing Canadian asset managers including Polar Securities, and was president from 2009 to June 2010. Kurankye joined Polar Securities in July 2010 as Head of Sales & Marketing.

Brandon Chan

Marketing Analyst

Brandon graduated from York University's Schulich School of Business with a Bachelors of Business Administration in 2006. In the summer of 2005, he was an intern with Veritas Investment Research. Working with the financial institutions analyst, he was responsible for helping create valuation reports for institutional investors. Brandon joined Polar in December 2006 to assist with the marketing effort, supporting the information needs of our clients.

Robin Fox

Sales & Marketing

Robin graduated from Concordia University in 1995 with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. Shortly after graduation, she began working at Scotia Capital on the Foreign Exchange and Money Market desks with a focus on dealings with Quebec-based clientele. This eventually led to her joining the Institutional Money Market desk in 1999 as an Associate Director of Sales. Robin joined Polar Structured Products in 2005 as a Treasury Analyst and in 2007 she began working with the Operations and Administration team at Polar Securities. She joined the sales and marketing team in December 2008.
